A few weeks ago, Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor performed a live online reading from his debut book “Seven Deadly Sins”. In true Corey Taylor style, he did this while wearing a nightgown and nightcap – and he’s signed them both for Roadrunner Records UK to give to one lucky winner!
One winner will receive the pajamas and a copy of Corey’s book, while one lucky runner-up will receive a copy of the book.

Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor took part in a reading and signing event for his new book, “Seven Deadly Sins – Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good”, on Tuesday, July 19 at Borders in Chicago, Illinois. Fan-filmed video footage of his appearance can be seen below.
In the latest installment of his column, which appears on Reverb at SeattleWeekly.com, Velvet Revolver> and former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan writes about Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor‘s new book, “Seven Deadly Sins – Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good”. He states, “I’ve known Corey on a personal level for the last few years, and have come to know that he is one of the smartest dudes out there. When he told me about his journey into authordom, I had no doubt that whatever topic he chose to write about would be deep and heavy.
“I just picked this book up last night and gave it a cursory browse. It looks fascinating. It’s a funny yet poignant look at Corey‘s own dip into drugs and vice and asinine behavior in his youth, while also studying the age-old question of whether certain personal traits are learned or bred into a person.
“Corey Taylor is one of those people that just seems impossibly good at whatever he chooses to pursue, and I have no doubt that this tome will reflect this fact.
“I can’t wait to see what Corey‘s version of ‘Sloth’ is! I shall report back to you all.”

According to The Pulse Of Radio, Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor did an extensive interview with HardDrive Radio in which he revealed that the band is definitely planning to release a concert DVD and cover songs EP in one package sometime before the end of the year. Taylor went into detail about the project, saying, “We shot a concert last year on the co-headlining tour that we did with Avenged Sevenfold, and we shot it in Brighton (England), and we’ve been trying to get it together ever since and it’s just been insane. There’s been so much work and we just haven’t had a chance to kind of get a handle on it. But we’ve been talking about doing a covers EP forever. This is just a kind of a cool way to put something cool out that the fans will dig.”
Taylor added that each member of Stone Sour will get to pick one song for the covers EP.
The singer also said that the recent run of European festival shows he did with Slipknot have warmed up him more to the idea of the group making a new record, but still cautions that it’s not happening anytime soon.
Taylor did say that Slipknot will do some more touring, possibly in the U.S. this time around.
Taylor is promoting his new book, “Seven Deadly Sins – Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good”, by doing appearances where he reads, performs a few songs and signs copies of the book. He also has some solo shows coming up, on August 4 and August 5 in Las Vegas.
